Does your (M) SO pay more often or is it equal?

22 F and recently started my first full time job after college. I'm very happy and it pays very well for my major. My SO works as an engineer and makes about 2x as much as I do; he's also been working for about 3 years and lives a very frugal life (still college-student-esque, if you will).

We've been dating about 9 months and most often we pay for our own things separately (such as ordering food at a counter), or switch off for meals at restaurants. It seemed fine to have it be equal but I also felt like I didn't really go through the being "wined and dined" phase. Anyway, I've always been a little been traditional in the sense that the boyfriend pays for dinners/drinks often (but not always). I can't help but also justify this because he makes significantly more money than I do… How do I bring this up?

I do want to cook more together and therefore reduce spending on food, but I can't help and be bummed that he doesn't really make an extra effort to "treat" me. Am I being selfish? What do I do?
